Put Plug-Ins, CSS, JavaScript, Easy Codes into Action!

These days it isn't an exaggeration to say that WordPress has become the main current in CMS. But, to get full use of WordPress you can't get around without dealing with PHP files. Haven't these slowed down its implementation? In this feature we introduce multiple perspectives on how to customize WordPress implementable with no knowledge on PHP, ranging from how to expand WordPress features using plug-ins, how to change the feel using JavaScript or CSS to simply copy and paste code to increase functionality and performance tune. Also, Full Flash site using WordPress to backend has strong and weak points: we show how to incorporate these in complementary ways. Even though this feature just covers the tip of the iceberg for WordPress customization, wouldn't you like to take your first step in making WordPress sing?

Feature 2: Web Typography as Information Design

Some Thoughts Before Selecting Typography - “Readability” and “Webfonts”

With the introduction of CSS3's @font-face, we've seen the development of favorable environments for using “Webfonts” where creators can display whichever fonts they want in the browser. Abroad there have been numerous Webfont services established, making it easier to integrate Webfonts. So it's a question of ‘do we use only fonts we like'? With high quality web content being offered, the importance of “readability” can be thought about as “Information Design”, not just the simple selection of typography. In this feature we develop four sections combining the state of Web Typography with theories and examples from sites as well as methods for incorporating Webfonts.
